"Cultivating Character" Teachers Training updates-

The Lord has provided us the opportunity to train 598 High School Teachers to teach the curriculum "Cultivating Character" to children. The Character Building curriculum is designed for Children between the age group of 8 to 16 yrs. We hope to train around 650 Teachers through this project in Chennai, Pondicherry, Salem and other major Cities.

We believe this curriculum to be very relevant to the present global scenario, even as the anti-social elements from various religious fanatical groups spreading wings of terror and insecurity even to greater extent in different parts of India. Kindly pray that the curriculum would develop in children the Character of Love, Compassion and Respect for human lives for which Christ was an exemplary role-model to each one of us.

Evangelism, Discipleship Groups & Developing Volunteers-

A. Evangelism - In the annual year 2007-08 we were able to minister to 17800 students through the 'Book of Hope' project in 21 of the prime Schools and 32 Churches in Chennai City.

B. Discipleship - We believe this is the second level of ministry, through weekly Discipleship Program we take through Students in foundational Biblical truths. Of these the majority of the students are from non-Christian background; praise God that all these students they not only receive the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ into their hearts but also understand the assurance of their salvation, walking in the Holy Spirit's leading and guidance and the importance of Bible Study and Prayer in their daily walk with the Lord.

C. Developing Volunteers - We then moved to the third level of ministry; God provided us resources from the 'Character Solutions International' and 'Scope Ministries International' to develop and nurture the skills of Character building and Counseling.
